For my first (or second technically) ever blog post I thought I would share my June favourites. I mostly have a lot of beauty favourites, which is no surprise since I have bought a lot of new make-up this month.
Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks – Say of him what you will, but his liquid lipsticks are amazing. From all the different brands I have tried, he by far has my favourite formula. Plus the range of colours is just amazing! I so far have bought four, ‘checkmate’, ‘rich blood’, ‘pussy whipped’ and ‘pumpkin pie’, but I will sure be adding more to my collection!
Elf moisturising lipstick – Another lip favourite of the month is the elf moisturising lipstick. I have the shade ‘marsala blush’ which is a really nice pink for whenever I wanted a more subtle lip colour. And it is exactly as the name suggests, moisturising.
RCMA no colour powder – I am going to go ahead and say this is my new holy grail loose powder. I use this to both bake under my eyes and set the rest of my face and it keeps my foundation and concealer in place.
Anastasia Beverly Hills modern renaissance palette – This has been my go to palette this month. There are so many looks you can create with this and they are super pigmented and easily blend able. Will definitely be taking this palette on vacation with me.
I heart makeup unicorns heart rainbow highlighter – This is the first ever rainbow highlighter I have owned and I am impressed. It is so incredibly blinding when you mix all the colours together. But you can also use each colour separate and it is still super blinding and pretty. So you essentially get 6 highlighters in one, which I find so amazing.
Nyx vivid brights eyeliners – I have missed these in my life! I never had any coloured eyeliners before these and when I found them, I just had to get them straight away, the amount of new looks I can make with these. And they’re amazing as well. They dry fairly quickly and when they’re dry, they do not move, which is perfect for me with my hooded eyes because it does not transfer at all. Yet they are still easy to take off at night and you don’t have to tug at it.
The body shop tea tree oil – The only skincare favourite of the month but boy does it deserve to be on this list. I bought this a couple of weeks ago after Sophie from ‘sophdoesnails’ on YouTube recommended it. It is a spot treatment and I put a drop of this on a cotton bud and put it on all my problem areas at night before my moisturiser. And let me tell you, it works. Immediately I noticed a difference, spots where disappearing quicker than usual, and even some skin ‘irregularities’, I don’t know what else to call them but they are like dots under your skin (I hope you kind of understand), they disappeared! So 10/10 would recommend.
Makeup revolution the one foundation – This isn’t necessarily a favourite of mine this month but I thought it deserved a special mention. I got this foundation in a mystery bag when I ordered some make-up off of the TamBeauty website. It claims that it’s a foundation changes to your skin tone. Obviously I was very sceptical about this and didn’t think it was going to work, but I tried it anyway and I was very pleasantly surprised! It starts off very orange when you first put it on your face but it quite quickly changed to my skin tone. I have to say it is very runny so it’s a bit trickier to apply. It’s also light coverage which I’m not normally about, but for the days where I’m going for the ‘no make-up’ make-up look, this foundation is perfect!
