How I kept my skin hydrated and happy on vacation

As you may or may not know, I recently went on a 3 week vacation to Spain. I used to live there and it was so much fun, it was great to see everyone again and spent time there and just relax.

Now obviously, it being the south of Spain it was incredibly hot there, 40 degrees celsius hot. That, in combination with me swimming all the time, most of the times in water with chlorine made my skin really dry out. So today I thought I would share what products I used to keep my skin hydrated, my face as well as the rest of my body.

How I kept my skin hydrated and happy on vacation

Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe Herbs and Rosewater I used this as a setting spray as well as a facial spray. Whenever I had been outside, in the swimming pool or whatever and my skin was feeling dry I would quickly spray this on and it gives my some instant hydration.

Lush Breath of Fresh Air Toner Water – This I used when I was feeling incredibly dry and I didn’t think the mario badescu facial spray would be enough. For when I needed a long lasting moisture. I just spritsed a little bit on a cotton pad and rubbed it in my face.

Aloe Vera Gel – This is definitely the best product ever for dry skin. I used an aloe vera gel, any will do, as long as it’s cruelty free, on my whole entire body and it is so soothing and hydrating. Being outside in the dry air and in the sun all day really dries out your skin to the point of cracking, and aloe vera is so good in fighting that. My whole family was hooked to it, and we bought like 3 big tubes of it.

Face oil – I didn’t actually use a face oil on holiday because I didn’t take one with me, but I do really recommend using one. Specially if you normally have dry skin and such heat dries your skin out even more. A face oil is able to give you even more moisture than a normal moisturiser, and keep it hydrated during the day. So I highly recommend!
