Apps you need as a blogger

Recently I read a couple of posts of some other bloggers who have talked about they’re favourite apps that made their blogging life easier in any way, shape or form. I downloaded all these apps and tried them out. Some of them I thought didn’t really have a great purpose for me, but others I absolutely loved and I can’t live without now! So I thought I would share with you the apps I love to use, either for my blog or any other social media platform.

Apps you need as a blogger

Bloglovin’

Most of you will most likely have heard about this app/website already. It’s basically a place where you can subscribe to lots of blogs and write your own posts if you want to too. What I love about this, is that even if you have a blog that is hosted by another website, such as wordpress, you can still add your blog on there so people can read it. I specifically love and use this app to subscribe to blogs that I like that are using blogspot or are self-hosted so I can see all their posts in one place and I don’t have to visit their website every time or get a hundred e-mails every day.

Unum

This is a great app if you are very picky about your instagram theme. This app lets you add loads of pictures to your “instagram theme” and it lets you move them around to see what you think looks best. Then for each picture you can add whatever caption you want and whatever hashtags (it also tells you when you’ve reached 30 hashtags which is so handy) and then it will copy the caption for you when you decide to upload the photo to instagram via that app. You can even create a bundle of hashtags that you can use for particular types of photo’s. So for example, I have a bundle for whenever I upload a beauty related photo and another one for magazines and so forth.

Buffer

This is an app that allows you to schedule your twitter and instagram posts. It’s as simple as that really, it’s great for when you’re going to be out working all day but you still want to be socially active, promoting your blog for example. You simply have to write the tweet before hand and tell the app when you want it to be posted. You even get a reminder after it’s posted that it’s complete. For instagram it works a bit different though. It’s possible to set a time that you want to post a picture, but then it will alert you at that time and you will still have to do it manually. Personally I only use this for twitter because I use the unum app for instagram, and I don’t need a reminder for when I want to post on instagram.

Prime

Prime has been my most recent discovery and I am not completely sure if it works yet but I wanted to share it with you anyway. It’s an app that tells you when the best time is each day for you to post your instagram photo’s to get the most amount of engagement. Before I even knew this app existed I was always thinking about when the best time would be for me to post, always in the evening I thought because most people would be off of work and school then and on their phones. But guessing the exact time is obviously impossible. This app basically calculates when that best time would be for you. But, I have to be honest with you, I have not yet completely figured out how the app works exactly (if you do know, please please please let me know), but I like to just upload when it says its best and hope it actually works.

So these were all the apps I use to make my blogging life a little easier. Have you got any apps you might recommend to me? And did you know about these? Tell me in the comments! Thanks for passing by!
