Last week I posted my favourite Christmas products post where I talked about all the make-up favourites during Christmas time, so now I wanted to tell you all my non-make-up favourites. You can expect these to be the most clichéd favourites that you’ve heard time and time again but which are so rightfully always mentioned.

The first thing is my oh so cosy blanket. My mum gave me one when I had just moved to Holland two years ago, and she bought the extra long one of 2 metres so that you can actually fully lay under it (thank you mum!) and it is oh so comfy. It is also blue which is my favourite colour and goes well with the rest of my room and it basically comes with me to every room and I lay under it with the heating next to me and it just really is the comfiest thing in the world.

The best time to lay under it is of course when watching Christmas movies, another favourite that I couldn’t exclud from the list now could it? My absolute favourite Christmas movies are How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Polar Express (these were two of the first Christmas movies I ever watched and they have really become classics), Elf (deuh), and The Snowman. I think the snowman is my absolute favourite just because I used to watch it so much when I was little, I think I even had it on VCR (who remembers those days?) and the music is simply mesmerising, I still listen to the soundtrack sometimes now and every time I get the chills.

Of course a cuddle up under my blue blanket with a Christmas movie on wouldn’t be complete without a hot chocolate (and some normal chocolate, double the chocolate, double the fun) with the Christmas tree lights on and preferably when it’s snowing outside to make it all even more magical, of course I don’t get a say in that matter but we can always dream. Luckily, me and my boyfriend actually experienced this exact set-up (with the snow) last week and it was just magical. We watched Bad Santa and Bad Santa 2 whilst outside the snow was turning the city into a proper winter wonderland.

Another two things I have indulged myself in this winter have been Christmas jumpers and I bought myself some Christmas bedding because I just couldn’t help it, it looked too cute. I started off with two Christmas jumpers in my collection in November, and now I have expanded it to seven in total, which in the grand scheme of things is stil okay, right? I have not yet done a post where I show you all my Christmas jumpers because I just haven’t gotten around to it but I don’t know if it makes that much more sense now that Christmas is nearly here and there’s not too much time left to actually wear them, unfortunately. I wish it was acceptable to wear Christmas jumpers all year round! The Christmas bedding I bought was a lovely number from Next with lots of little Christmas trees and polar bears on them, they are adorable!

What have been your favourites this Christmas time?
