This time around, Lulu came up with the great idea to do a parcel exchange! So I sent her some Dutch Christmassy bits and she sent me some English things (mainly food, yum!) If you want to see what I got her head over to her blog!
First thing out of the box was such a lovely Christmas card! It’s a Christmas tree consisting of all the London subway stations (I think?) but they changed the names to be Christmassy! So Paddington becomes Puddington for example (Can’t really give you more examples because that’s one of the few stations I know haha). I thought this was so clever and I am definitely keeping that even after Christmas!
Let’s then start with the big thing shall we? The most exciting thing in the whole package! I got London Christmas tree balls! HOW FLIPPING EXCITING IS THAT! I think they are so so so, so, cute and they go perfectly with the semi theme of our Christmas tree, white, silver and red. It’s just gorgeous! (I think she got it from Paperchase btw if anyone still wants to grab them).
Next up is Christmas pudding! Having grown up with my stepdad whose English I obviously know what that is and I have tried it in the past. I must say, back then I didn’t really like it, but they do say your tastebuds change every 10 years and it’s definitely been over 10 years that I have tasted that so maybe I’ll be happily surprised!
When I opened all the presents me and my boyfriend immediately had one each of the sharp sherberts. They are not as sour as we expected but they are still absolutely delicious! I love those sour sweets but never eat them because they are so bad for my teeth and health and everything bla bla bla, but it’s Christmas now so eating one every now and then is acceptable.
Last, but definitely not least, is the chocolate selection box! There’s 3 bigger chocolates in there and two smaller ones. I so wanted to eat one of them when I was opening them last night but knew I had to wait so that I could take a photo of it today (blogger problems, right?). Naturally, immediately after I took the photos I ate one of the chocolates and it was the most delicious chocolate I have ever eaten as a vegan. Not even kidding. It. Is. So. Good.
