10 things I’m loving this week #6

Whilst trying to think what to write for my intro and trying to think of something I haven’t used as an intro yet, it’s proving to be hard. Apparently I have been doing the same kind of things all these weeks (aka studying) and complaining OR praising the weather. This time is praising the weather, thankfully, as it was 20 degrees and sunny this whole weekend and today is promising to be the exact same.

On Thursday we had a massive storm though, that lasted for a WHOLE TWO HOURS (jokes).  I did get extremely wet and then decided to hide at my sister’s house. Then there was a 20 minute gap between the rain (between the rain?) and I just about managed to get home in that time. I cycled as fast as I could and as soon as I had gotten upstairs to my room I looked outside and it was pouring it down. So you could say I *insert good pun/saying that has to do with the rain here*

10 things I’m loving this week

Second easter dinnerLast week I told you about having easter dinner at my boyfriend’s mum’s house, which was on Sunday. This Monday, we went to his dad’s house and ate the exact same thing, gourmet! They didn’t know we had already eaten that the day before, and how would they really. But I didn’t mind, I love gourmet and apart from at those two families, I don’t eat it anywhere else.

Studying at yet another coffeeshopTo put the finishing touches on my final paper I loved going to coffeeshops and restaurants to study, specifically my favourite restaurant Gys. Unfortunately on Tuesday it was closed for staff training so I resorted to another great coffeeshop, the coffee company. The drinks are a little more expensive there but I still had an amazing iced latte, my favourite! There’s also an upstairs there where there’s a little more privacy and a little less hassle than downstairs.

Lunch alone at GysOn Wednesday, thankfully, Gys was open again. Since I had to hand in my paper on Thursday I had decided to go to Gys in the morning and stay for lunch and leave whenever my paper was done. Whilst before I would go anywhere after lunch.

It proved to be quite nice, I almost finished my paper that day and had an amazing lunch. I had a vegan farinata. Which, if you don’t know what a farinata is – which I didn’t – is like a savoury pancake and they put a load of veggies on top and it was amazing. I also had the grand dessert after I – almost – finished my paper, because I felt like I deserved it! Note to self though: have a big breakfast because it’s rude to have a home brought snack there!

The dress of dreams | After studying at Gys on Wednesday I went into the city for a bit and visited Monki, where I had seen some cute things a few days prior. I tried quite a few clothes but eventually only ended up bringing home one thing. A beautiful dress with abstract faces on it. Which I know will look amazing with these abstract earrings I just bought from ASOS, it will be the perfect match!

Semester is finishedThursday afternoon could not have arrived earlier last week. I was so done with studying and writing and everything to do with school. So that day I finished my paper and finally handed it in. It’s not my best work at all w-h-a-t-s-o-e-v-e-r and I expect nothing more than a fail, but I’m fine with it. I’ve set my heart on the fact that I’ll just have to resit this one.

Afternoon in the city centreAt my uni we don’t only have to hand in the paper digitally, but also physically. Which I find so stupid, but it is what it is. So because I was in the city anyway, and my boyfriend was going to be at the station round about the same time as I had to hand in the paper, I proposed we hang out there for a bit.

Before I met him though, I had some time to kill so I went to another one of my favourite restaurants, poke perfect. Where you can get a poke bowl and it’s just amazing. I had one of the ones on the board, tried some things I normally wouldn’t have gone for and it was really delicious! (as usual)

Aunt’s birthdayOn Friday it was my aunt’s birthday and she celebrated it at my sister’s house. She made soup and vegetable balls and my brother’s girlfriend made little home-made hamburgers. It was all really delicious and really fun. I love our family gatherings. Now that we have two babies in the family also it’s all become extra cute as my sister’s daughter loves my brother’s son so much (she’s almost 2 and he’s almost 1). It’s super duper cute.

Blogging funAfter finally finishing all my uni work I finally have time to to some blog work. And usually, it’s all I do the second day after handing everything in (the first day is for resting). This time was no different. I got lots of stuff done on my to-do list. Don’t be fooled though, there are still a thousand things left on there which I’ve set myself a deadline for to complete them all.

Google analytics works againFor such a long time the google analytics on my dashboard on where I edit my blog had different statistics than the google analytics on the actual website. It was so frustrating as you can imagine because there was no way of me knowing which one was right and which one I could trust. It was especially annoying since one of them showed a way bigger number than the other.

I just checked again yesterday and I have finally fixed it. It now says the same thing on both ones, and the one with the higher number was thankfully the right one.

Step-cousins birthday partyIt’s my step-cousins birthdays today! They’re twins and they are the kids of my sister’s boyfriend, from a previous marriage. They celebrated on Sunday and it was really nice.

Gilmore Girls | It seems like every week I’m talking about a new series that I’m watching. Well this week it’s Gilmore Girls. I was looking through my list on Netflix and quite a few people recommended this series to me so I thought why not. The first episode wasn’t as amazing as I was expecting so I was doubting if I would even like the show. But it picked itself up pretty quickly and now I’m completely in love.
