I am writing this the day it goes up, which is unusual for me as I normally write it the day before on Sunday but this time the last day of the week was such a relaxed day I didn’t feel like doing anything. So that’s exactly what we did (more on that below). The rest of the week was semi busy with mostly uni work, although as usual there was also a lot of procrastination happening, but thankfully I have also been pretty productive most days (they kind of went hand in hand this week).
I’m seeing everyone in England being ready or almost ready with everything and it’s making me jealous, I have a full month left to go and then at the end have two papers to write and an exam to do so not quite vacation yet but the end is in sight. And then when I finish this year it’s the summer holidays and then I’m off to England for 5 months, woohoo!!
10 things I’m loving this week
Cuddles with my niece | My sister called me Monday if I could pick up my niece from the nursery because she was still at school and my niece had to be picked up earlier ’cause she was a little sick. Of course I said yes and when we got home me and my niece just laid on the sofa together for a good 20 minutes just cuddling. It was so precious.
Reading | I have been reading a LOT more recently. Just this week I finished two books (The million dollar blog and Sealed with a kiss) and I started reading How to be an overnight success. I used to love reading in high school and read basically a book a week but then when I moved I kind of fell off the bandwagon. Now I’m picking it up again and every opportunity I get you can see me with a book in my hand.
Tripod | This week I finally bought a tripod! Every time I wanted to take a photo of myself or my hands inside I had to place the camera on some clothes, books or other dangerous position and sometimes it couldn’t even work. Time for a tripod! I bought the cheapest and tallest one I could find and although I’ve only used it once I know I’m gonna get a lot of use out of it.
Shutterstock | I have started selling the photos I don’t use for anything on Shutterstock! Shutterstock is basically a website where people or companies can buy stock photos and it’s possible for anyone to submit photos and earn a little extra cash. Mind you it is a VERY small amount and I’m not expecting to get rich or anything but I thought since I’m not doing anything with these photos anyway, I might as well sell them. If you want to submit photos to Shutterstock too, just click here!
Spinning class | I have been getting more and more into exercising recently so I wanted to join a gym, but not just a normal gym, I wanted to join one where I could also take some group classes. So Sunday I had a trial run and went spinning for an hour. It was hard and intense but it was nice, I was sweating all over after (as you can imagine) but it was great. I am most likely going to be joining that gym as they have so many other classes and a gym (obviously) as well.
Very chilled Sunday | After spinning my legs and body were so tired I didn’t feel like doing anything. My boyfriend was incredibly tired as well so we decided to move everything we had to do to Monday and just have a very chilled relaxed day. We were planning on going to the Maarseveenseplassen to swim since it had been so warm recently but it started to rain so that was off.
Walk along the canal | Instead of going to the Maarseveenseplassen we settled for a long walk along the canal, also partly in the rain, although it wasn’t too much. We came across some swings and went on there as well. I felt like a happy child. And my boyfriend came up with a new photo idea, I’m really training him to be a great Instagram boyfriend!
Sushi | To finish off the day I ordered sushi, my absolute favourite food in the whole wide world. I hadn’t had it in such a long time since I was on a spending ban for a month and a half (a post coming up on that next week) so it was amazing – as always. My boyfriend made some fries and a hamburger and a carerro, some of his favourite food.
Instagram | I have really been enjoying Instagram again lately, especially my feed. I was getting a bit tired with my photos and especially the way I was editing them. So I decided to switch it up completely and now my feed is a lot more moody, it’s basically only lifestyle or fashion photos (I seriously don’t know what the difference is between those) and I’m being much more creative with my photos and I’m loving it!
Let’s work together | In saying that, I have also re-discovered my love for photography MASSIVELY. So I want to start photographing others as well as myself (because obviously most photos of me are taken by my boyfriend with my instructions). So if you live in Holland (I have free train rides during the week) and you want your photo taken for you blog or something else then hit me up as I would love to start building a portfolio! It would be completely free as I don’t feel comfortable charging anything yet as I have never done it before but I promise I will obviously be incredibly professional and we can also just have a good time! I don’t know if I’m ever going to go anywhere with this but I would love to give it a go. So please send me a message or an e-mail if you think you’re interested in this or know someone that might be and we can discuss a date!
